A large team of full-time faculty members from diverse fields with a unique blend of academic research of industrial experience are available at each campus. Our faculty members are also involved in Management Development Programs and consultancy activities besides teaching of research.
IBS has established Icfai Institute for Management Teachers (IIMT) to train the faculty members in research, pedagogy and industry interaction.
IBS has a Ph D program which is offered without any tuition fee to all the eligible full time Faculty members. All the Faculty members are encouraged to publish their research in national, International and ICFAI Journals.
65. Is IBS approved by AICTE?
IBS does not award any degrees/ diplomas, it merely extends academic support and placement assistance to the students interested in pursuing MBA & Executive PG Programs of the ICFAI University, Dehradun as private candidates. Hence IBS has not sought any approval from AICTE.
66. Are all the IBS campuses same? If so why are all the campuses of IBS not ranked in the business school surveys?
All the IBS campuses are provided with the same academic and physical infrastructure.
It is only the students perception which differs. It is because of this perception that there is variation in students joining different campuses and hence the variation in placements.
The organizations recruit candidates based on their performance and not campus. Hence if the students performance is good they can be assured of good placement irrespective of whichever campus they study in.
The banks provide loans to students of all campuses as they feel that the students of all campuses are equally competent.
The industry has been recruiting students from all the campuses which is visible in our placement record which is 100% for the past few years.
On the lighter side IBS currently has 22 campuses and if the ranking agency has to give ranks to all the campuses there will be no scope for other institutions to participate in the survey.
The ranking agencies also have to create space to accommodate other B Schools. But shortly all our campuses will be participating in the ranking surveys. |
